On Thursday, Ca Mau Province recorded 68 new Covid-19 infection cases, including 46 returnees from Covid-19-hit areas. The figure has raised the province’s total number of Covid-19 infections to 1,397, including 12 deaths.

Ca Mau has set up a 350-bed field hospital at Cuu Long Plaza. This is the fifth of its kind in the locality.

HCM City has shared Covid-19 prevention and control activities as well as provided medical equipment and medicines for Covid-19 treatment for the locality.

People who visit Ca Mau from areas of low-risk Covid-19 infection do not have to quarantine. Meanwhile, people from high-risk areas with the negative Covid-19 testing result and having one shot of Covid-19 vaccine are requested to take seven days quarantine. The 14-day quarantine is required for those who have not yet been vaccinated against Covid-19.

On Thursday, up to 102 new Covid-19 cases were reported in Bac Lieu Province, including 52 locally-infected patients. The Covid-19 outbreak at Tan Khoi Seafood Company in Gia Rai Town accounted for nearly 100 cases.

Meanwhile, Soc Trang Province has detected a total of 4,054 Covid-19 cases since late April, including 32 deaths.

Tran Van Lau, chairman of the provincial people’s committee, said that the province was boosting Covid-19 vaccination for all local people aged from 18 in the coming time.

Can Tho City on October 21 recorded 28 Covid-19 cases, raising the city’s total number of Covid-19 infections to 6,399 cases since July 8.

The increase in Covid-19 infections has also been seen in Hau Giang Province.
