The venue, which opened on To Ngoc Van Street in Tay Ho, features three themed spaces inspired by Hanoi's traditional villages, streets and homes, offering performances and cultural experiences.
The Tay Ho Puppet Troupe combines water and shadow puppetry in performances inspired by Vietnamese folk tales and accompanied by original music. Regular shows begin in August, with programmes updated monthly.
The venue also hosts performances by the seven-generation Thai Ha Ca Tru Guild and xam artists, while supporting the training of young performers to help preserve the traditional art forms.
Visitors can meet performers and learn about traditional musical instruments, including the dan day, dan bau, nhi, phach and trong chau.
According to the organisers, the project aims to create a sustainable space for preserving and promoting Hanoi's cultural heritage while developing new cultural experiences for residents and visitors.
