A douc langur attacks a resident in Quang Binh Province on November 14.
According to the Bo Trach District People's Committee, the animal suddenly appeared and attacked Nguyen Hong The while he was travelling in Phong Nha Town. The fell from his motorbike after it jumped onto him and scratched him on his back. He needed treatment for some of his injuries.
"We've issued announcements on the man being attacked by the black douc langur in the area so that residents are aware," the committee said. "We've also called on people not to injure it while we're preparing measures to capture it and release it back into the wild at a local forest."
