The Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Hospital in the central province of Quang Binh has announced that they are keeping the body of a man who died in a traffic accident while on a north-south walking tour.

The hospital's director, Phan Thanh Binh told local media on Friday morning that they were looking for the man's relatives who can come to receive his body.
According to the hospital, the man who is 1.7 metres tall and 60 kilos in weight, was brought to the hospital on the evening of August 4 with various injuries. He was previously rushed to Quang Ninh District General Hospital by some local people who said he was hit in a traffic accident in Le Thuy District.
"Despite our efforts, he died due to seriously injuries," doctor Binh said. "He has no personal papers so has not been identified yet. We are keeping his body and waiting to transfer it to his family."
According to some local people, they saw the man walking with a group of three people who were holding banners which say "Trans-Vietnam Walk to Protect the Environment." The man was far behind his two friends so they didn't know about the accident.
