The highest award went to 26-year-old model Tarmar from Nigeria, according to the contest official website

Tra My is now a third year student from the Hanoi University of Business and Technology.

The 1.78-meter-tall young woman, who has a “sweet and gentle walk”, according to former supermodel Tyra Banks, was the second runner-up of last year’s Vietnamese version of America’s Next top Model.

Tra My is now staying in London to work with several local modeling agencies and will return to Vietnam on March 22.

The UK-based Top Model Worldwide is one of the leading international model contests seeking the best new talents from across the globe with a number of titles, awards, and fantastic career opportunities.

All the profits from the Public Vote Awards will be handed over to the contest’s charity fundraising for child cancer patients at the Great Ormond Street Hospital in London.

This year, the contest was held from March 9 to 17 and attracted around 40 contestants from all over the world.

In related news, 19-year-old Hoang Thuy, the winner of Vietnam’s Next Top Model 2011, also won Best Catwalk Award and made it into the top 15 of Top Model of the World 2012 earlier this month in Germany.
