Liem goes fourth in UK chess tourney

Top Vietnamese chess player Le Quang Liem defeated Israeli rival Tamir Nabaty in the seventh round at the ongoing Tradewise Gibraltar Chess Festival in the UK.

Top Vietnamese chess player Le Quang Liem defeated Israeli rival Tamir Nabaty in the seventh round at the ongoing Tradewise Gibraltar Chess Festival in the UK on Monday.

The win takes Liem up to fourth with 5.5 points. 

In his eighth match, the two-time Aeroflot Open champion will meet second-placed Hou Yifan of China.
