Under the scheme, Chinese citizens travelling in groups of two or more can enter Vietnam without a visa if they join package tours organised by Vietnamese international travel companies as part of the bilateral tourism cooperation programme. Holders of passports issued by the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions are excluded.
The policy applies exclusively to Khanh Hoa Province, with entry and exit through Cam Ranh International Airport.
The visa exemption took effect on October 12 and will remain in force until December 31, 2027.
Visitors must travel on organised tours arranged by Vietnamese international travel companies under the cooperation programme and stay in Vietnam for no more than 30 days.
