The event was held at the resettlement area of the village in Bao Yen District.
According to Hoang Van Diep, the head of Lang Nu Village, "the lot-drawing event went without a hitch, and the villagers were delighted to receive their new homes. We're also working to allocate farmland to households near their resettlement area."
So far, construction work has neared completion on some 20 houses, and contractors are trying to finish all 33 houses by the end of this year so that the households can move in.

Thirty-three households in Lang Nu Village lost their homes to horrific flash floods and landslides triggered by Typhoon Yagi on September 10, which left 60 people dead, 15 injured, and seven missing.
In a recent visit to the village, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh asked local authorities to build a resettlement area for affected families in Lang Nu by the end of December this year at the latest so that they can stabilise their lives.
