Northern and northern central localities have been predicted to have torrential rains

Due to the impact of the local tropical pressure, northern and northern central localities have been predicted to have torrential rains on June 13-15.

Northern mountainous areas would see landslides, hail, strong winds and flash floods.

The Central Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control has asked northern cities and provinces and coastal areas from Quang Ninh Province to Danang City to avoid possible risks.

It is essential to closely supervise vulnerable areas and reservoirs as well as evacuate people in necessary cases. Authorities also need to keep a close watch on weather forecasts and rain gauges to take timely action.

Meanwhile, coastal localities have to frequently update news on the low tropical pressure to inform boat owners and prepare rescue forces.
