The Chairman of the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association in Sakai City, Hitoshi Kato made the remark at a meeting with President Truong Tan Sang in Hanoi on February 4. He also vowed to do his utmost to make the ocean tuna export cooperation programme between Vietnam and Japan a success. President Truong Tan Sang thanked the guest for his role in the Vietnam-Japan cooperation programme on improving the efficiency of ocean tuna catching in central Binh Dinh province. The President said he hopes the programme will be expanded to other Vietnamese localities. He also acknowledged Kato’s active contributions to connecting central Vietnamese Da Nang and Quang Nam localities with Japanese partners, and supporting Vietnamese students in Sakai city.
