Deputy Defence Minister and Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh has expressed his conviction that the Vietnam visit by the Israeli defence delegation will help fortify defence cooperation between the two nations.
At a March 2 reception for the Israeli delegation led by the Director General of Israel's Ministry of Defense, Dan Harel, in Hanoi, Vinh said the Vietnam-Israel bilateral defence cooperation has blossomed over recent years, contributing to the maintenance of peace, stability, development and prosperity of each country as well as in the region and the world at large.
During the talks, both sides compared notes on the world security situation and issues of shared concern and measures to promote future effective defence cooperation.
After the talks, they signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on stepping up bilateral defence cooperation in the time to come.
