The tour, which was co-organised by Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Department and Saigontourist Travel Company, provided an overview of the city’s tourism products for international delegations ahead of the ITE HCMC 2022 which will last from September 8-10.

Delegates included representatives from international travel companies, news agencies, and social media influencers from countries including Brazil, Malaysia, India, South Korea, Jordan, Australia and Thailand.

The delegation gathered at Bach Dang Wharf to start the tour with double-decker buses early on Wednesday morning.

The buses travelled on Nguyen Hue Street in District 1 early in the morning.

Kafeya Abu Dayeh from Jordan took photos while the bus was going through the headquarters of the HCM City People's Committee.

I find that HCM City is a very dynamic city which will attract lots of young people," Kefaye said. "The city also boasts lots of beauty spots. And I'm very impressed with the culture and foods here. I will surely share all these beautiful things about this city to our customers in Jordan."

Alice Kim from South Korea said that she first came to HCM City 10 years ago and the city had changed a lot.

"It's wonderful to witness the changes in this city," Kim said. "I heard that the city was hard hit by the Covid-19 pandemic but it looks like the pandemic has gone and it's becoming busy again here."

The visitors walked along Nguyen Binh Khiem Street to the Saigon Zoo which is popular during the weekend.

They were then taken to visit the History Museum which was located in an old French-style building built in 1929.

A delegate took photos of a statue at the museum.

The buses then took the visitors through some other main streets in District 1.

The delegation watched a water puppetry show at the Rong Vang theatre on Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street.

They then continued their tour by motorbikes to other famous sites in the city.
