The 850-metre street is located by the south of Huong River and Hoang Thanh night street.

The project focuses on paving the street, planting trees, building a parking lot and developing services to serve tourists along it. Some facilities of the park which is opposite the Parkview Hotel will be upgraded, including an improved lighting system.

However, the project has proceeded at a snail’s pace. For instance, work on the electricity system and the paving of the street has not yet been finished.

Vo Le Nhat, chairman of the Hue City People’s Committee, said that the project was started in September this year. But the project had slowed, partially due to the unfavourable weather.

Local authorities have decided to hold their Countdown event to welcome the New Year 2023 on Hung Vuong Street, instead of at Hai Ba Trung pedestrian street as previously planned.
