
Many roads in Rach Gia City have faced serious floods since early Monday morning following heavy rain which started on July 16.

Nearly 20 houses in the two districts of Go Quao and Giong Rieng have been badly damaged by the strong wind and thunderstorms during the rain.
Local authorities have sent a rescue team of nearly 300 members to come and help people deal with the aftermath of the thunderstorm.
Kien Giang has temporarily halted ferry and boat services to Phu Quoc Island since July 16 due to the effects of the storm.
Ferry and speedboat services between Rach Gia and Phu Quoc, Nam Du, Hon Son; and between Ha Tien and Phu Quoc have been suspended until further notice. Boat and ferry tickets that have been purchased can be returned or rescheduled.
