IBM is holding a seminar on how to make Ho Chi Minh a smarter city through forming, integrating and connecting social systems to better serve people, the company announced on Nov. 24.
The conference will be the only one of its kind by IBM in South East Asia this year, where leaders of the city authoritiy and local busineses and foreign experts will discuss optimal approaches to urgent matters of the urban life.
Representatives of the city authority will share development guideline for the city in the next 5 years with an aim to maintain the leading position in economic and social development and make Ho Chi Minh City an attractive, reliable destination for foreign investors.
The upcoming event on December 1st in Ho Chi Minh City will demonstrate the Smarter Planet vision of IBM in Vietnam by making the city smarter with the integration and interaction of sensing and information analysing systems. A smarter planet can then be realised when smarter cities again integrate and interact with each other.
