According to the National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, mountainous provinces in the north-east and the north-west areas like Quang Ninh, Lang Son and Tuyen Quang will be the first to have rain.

The lowest temperature on March 3 will be 19 degrees for the north-east and 16 degrees for the north-west. The highest temperature in the north-east was 28 degrees and 31 degrees in the north-west.

Heavy rains and rainstorm will occur across the northern region from the night of March 2 and are forecasted to last until March 5 with strong winds and hails. Rains are also forecasted from Thanh Hoa to Thua Thien-Hue provinces.

A cold spell will arrive in the northern region on March 4 and 5. Temperatures will drop in the North Central Coast on March 5.
