According to the ministry, since March, Vietnam has received a total of 135 million doses of Covid-19 vaccine, including 48.5 million doses of Sinopharm; 46.7 million doses of AstraZeneca; 33.3 million doses of Pfizer and Moderna and the remainder being Abdala and Sputnik V.

By Tuesday, the country had administered 111 million doses of Covid-19 vaccine with nearly 43.6 million people fully vaccinated. Meanwhile, around 90% of people aged from 18 have received the first Covid-19 vaccine jab.
58 out of 63 cities and provinces have covered the first jab for roughly 70% of local residents aged from 18. Twenty-two areas have achieved a rate of over 95%, including Hanoi, Haiphong, Bac Ninh, Vinh Phuc, Quang Ninh, Danang, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan, HCM City, Ba Ria-Vung Tau and HCM City.
Meanwhile, the five provinces of Thanh Hoa, Son La, Nghe An, Nam Dinh, Quang Binh and Son La have achieved a first Covid-19 vaccine jab coverage of below 70%.
The Ministry of Health has urged localities to speed up vaccinations and list qualified people for the third Covid-19 vaccine jab with priority for people aged over 50.
To date, 26 cities and provinces have provided a first Covid-19 vaccine jab for children aged 12-17, including Hanoi, HCM City, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Quang Ninh and Danang.
