The proposed areas would be located at the districts of Can Gio, Binh Chanh and Nha Be and the parks, including Phu Lam in District 6, Le Thi Rieng in District 10, 23/9 in District 1, Le Van Tam in District 1, Tao Dan in District 1 and Gia Dinh in Go Vap District.
In Tao Dan Park, the area of Trau Cau Restaurant would be removed for building an entertainment area for children. One hectare of land in Gia Dinh Park would be for a pilot entertainment model. Under the plan, the city would also invest in the construction of an amusement model combining physical training in Gia Dinh Park and several other places with a larger area.
Green Park Company of Ho Chi Minh City has been assigned to work with the local volunteer youth force to manage parking lots at 30-4 Park on Saturdays and Sundays to serve children’s recreational activities.
Currently, Ho Chi Minh City has 1.7 million children under 16. Despite the abundance, the city is home to a very small number of entertainment areas for children. Only the Children\'s House of Ho Chi Minh City has a large space suitable for children’s amusement activities, but it is now facing an overload.
The city has many parks, but most local parents do not want to bring their children there for the fear of illegal activities. Late September, an on-sand entertainment area in Tao Dan Park was closed due to security disorders.
