The HCM City Transport Department has announced that they will close certain streets for the organisation of events and celebrations, including the flower street and book street, around the 2023 Lunar New Year Festival.

Traffic will be banned from Nguyen Hue Street and part of Ton Duc Thang Street in District 1 between January 3–19 during the preparation works of the Nguyen Hue Flower Street.
Between January 12–26, all vehicles will be banned from parts and Le Loi and Nguyen Hue streets, where the book street and flower street events are held.
In addition, traffic will also be limited on some surrounding streets, including Nguyen Thiep, Mac Thi Buoi, Ngo Duc Ke, Hai Trieu, Huynh Thuc Khang, and Ton That Thiep during that time.
Transport will also be banned from Nguyen Du Street between 7:30–8:30am on January 6 as the city organises a ceremony to mark the 55th anniversary of the 1968 Spring General Offensive and Uprising.
Organisations and individuals who need to travel on these streets during the ban period can contact the department or local authorities for support.
