
Hanoi Botanical Gardens, established in 1890, were reduced to around 23 hectares.

Many rare trees were planted in the garden, including lots of old trees.

Several sculptures at the Hanoi Botanical Garden have become rusty.

The bridge has also deteriorated severely so it has been locked for safety reasons.

Thong Nhat Park is Hanoi’s biggest park with a total area of 50 hectares. It was put into operation in 1958. Some entertainment areas have been left unused due to their run-down condition.




Statues and benches are in a dilapidated state.

Meanwhile, Thu Le Park is in the same situation.

The fence around the park has become rusty.

The elephant cage area has not yet been upgraded after being used for many years.
At a recent meeting, Hanoi People’s Committee Chairman Nguyen Sy Thanh said that next year, Hanoi would restore its parks. The city has considered a plan in which people can go to local parks without having to buy tickets.
