A big shopping mall in Ha Dong District also experienced large volumes of visitors on Tuesday evening as people rushed out to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival, including many children.

Despite the regulation that people are only permitted to eat at home, many people were happy to eat takeaways on the street.

Phan Quynh Tram, a Hanoi resident, said that people were eager to go out after a long stay at home during social distancing. This could potentially lead to additional Covid-19 outbreaks.
