Hanoi has recorded 131,941 Covid-19 cases in total since late April last year when the fourth Covid-19 wave started hitting Vietnam, including 611 deaths.
According to the Hanoi Department of Health, the patients were found in 494 wards and communes of all of 30 districts and towns in the city.
At present, around 68,000 Covid-19 patients are being treated and quarantined in Hanoi, including 61,967 at home, while the remainder at hospitals and quarantine facilities.
Hanoi is boosting Covid-19 treatment and vaccination through the Lunar New Year or Tet holiday.
By January 29, the city had administered 14.64 million doses of Covid-19 vaccine, covering roughly 99% of local residents.
Twenty-three districts in Hanoi have been listed as having a medium risk of Covid-19 infection.
