Apartment building A Ngoc Khanh in Ba Dinh District was built by a company in 1985 for their staff. The mortar on its walls has broken off. The residents are asked to leave there, but to date, many are still staying there.
Some apartment buildings C8 Giang Vo in Dong Da District are in the same situation with the warning for dangers. Steel frames are used to consolidate the floors.
In Dong Da District’s Thanh Cong Ward, apartment block G6A has posed latent risks for people living at. A sign board has been installed there for the warning about the threats.
Building C5 Quynh Mai which is more than 50 years old has been in a bad condition with cracks. It’s first floor is 20-30 cm lower than the street as it is suffering from subsidence.
Put into use in 1990, the apartment building of the Ministry of Justice on Kim Ma Thuong Street has also been defined as very dangerous. However, some households at the building have ignored the evacuation order.
