On his part, the Mayor said his city wishes to bolster ties with Hanoi with specific projects such as opening a Hanoi-Amsterdam air route, which helps shorten distance between the two capital cities. The Amsterdam delegation is on a working visit to Hanoi from December 8-11. It is scheduled to meet with representatives from the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV), the national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines to discuss the launch of a Hanoi-Amsterdam direct air route in the coming time.
