A vendor on Phung Hung Street
Three local companies would be allowed to temporarily use the pavements to sell beverages, cakes, fast food, and souvenirs on Hai Ba Trung, Ly Thuong Kiet, Tran Hung Dao and Le Phung Hieu streets, as well as part of Phung Hung street from 6 am to 2 am the next day.
The services would be allowed on the other part of Phung Hung Street from 6 am to 10 pm.
The fee for using the sidewalks on these streets is VND45,000 per square metre with business licenses for the three companies to be renewed every six months.
According to the Hoan Kiem District People's Committee, many streets in the area have been used without permission. Legal sidewalk vendors would help restore order.
