The National Day holiday will last four days this year, starting on August 31.
According to the airport, September 3 would be the busiest day with 569 flights carrying 96,000 passengers including 35,000 international visitors.
The figure marks a decrease compared to the same period last year, the airport said, adding that they served 410,000 during the same holiday in 2023.
The airport said they have prepared well and advised passengers to arrive in time for check in procedures which may take longer.
A survey by the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) showed that air flight tickets during the coming National Day holiday have risen by around 20 percent due to higher travel demand.
CAAV has asked the airlines to report on their increased flight frequency and the status of ticket sales, bookings and seat availability on domestic tourist destination routes during the holiday period.
Passengers are advised to book their tickets early through the airlines' official channels when travelling by plane or consider booking flights that depart early or late in the day to have more options for lower fares.
