The Vietnamese government approves USD1.6-million anti-corruption project

The project, costing nearly USD1.6 million, will be carried out over the next four years, of which around USD1.5 million will be sourced from official development assistance, with the rest to come from the state budget.

It aims to improve the Vietnamese Government’s anti-corruption efforts through fully observing the United Nations Convention against Corruption and raising the role of the non-state sector in anti-corruption activities.

The project will also help revise legislation, build a database to assist in monitoring and evaluating anti-corruption work, and improve supervision of the operational efficiency of social organisations on matters related to the issue.
