The Golden Top Group, Kaohsiung Medical University Chung - Ho Memorial Hospital, and Formosa Medical Clinic held a Memorandum of Understanding Ceremony in Ho Chi Minh City on December 10.
The ceremony saw the attendance of head of the Kaohsiung Medical University Chung - Ho Memorial Hospital, Hou Ming Feng, the hospital's General Secretary Xiao Shi Huai, General director of the Golden Top Group, Nguyen Kim Thuy, and head of Formosa Medical Clinic, Zeng Zhi Hong.
Speaking at the ceremony, head of the Kaohsiung Medical University Chung - Ho Memorial Hospital, Hou Ming Feng said that the hospital was set up in 1957 and has grown to become the largest healthcare system with four facilities in south Taiwan and a leading hospital in Taiwan. The number of beds have increased from nearly 500 in the first days to 3,000 now at four hospitals.
According to the hospital's leadership, their healthcare services have been recognised both locally an internationally, including the JCI accreditation in 2016, and Taiwanese quality certification on November 30, 2018. Besides high-quality healthcare services, Kaohsiung Medical University Chung - Ho Memorial Hospital also provides good training.
“Co-operation with the Golden Top Group and Formosa Medical Clinic will enable us to share Taiwan's high-quality medical treatment and proper hospital management experiences to our Vietnamese partners," he said.
General Director of the Golden Top Group, Nguyen Kim Thuy said that she had visited the Kaohsiung Medical University Chung - Ho Memorial Hospital and highly appreciated their well-trained doctors, technology and good management skills.
“We hope that the Golden Top Group and Formosa Medical Clinic will receive support from Kaohsiung Medical University Chung - Ho Memorial Hospital to improve our technology, vocational skills and management," Thuy said. "We also pay special attention to charity activities including organising free health checks and treatment for disadvantaged people. And we really want to co-operate with your hospital to develop ourselves more so that we can help more people."

The Golden Top Company Ltd, was established in 1995 in Hai Phong City and focused on producing leather footwear for export.
After 23 years, Thuy as chairman and CEO has developed the company into the Golden Top Group with four companies producing for well-known footwear brands including Timberland, Clarks, Camper, Prada, Ugg, Rockport, Luca, Seibel, Espirit, and Tommy.
The group also have factories from the north to the south and employ nearly 27,000 people.
Besides producing footwear, Golden Top Group has now expanded into several tourism projects in Quang Ninh and Hai Phong.
