An 11-year-old girl is facing various serious injuries after accidentally drinking sulfuric acid.
According to a report from the Hanoi-based National Children's Hospital, the girl was taken to hospital at 3 pm on June 27 and is still having serious stomach and peptic ulcers after nearly a month of active treatment.
The girl's family said that she came to buy a bottle of mineral water at a shop near her school on the morning of June 26. And the shopkeeper gave her the acid bottle that looked just similar to the mineral water bottle.
The shopkeeper told the family that their son works as a mechanic and usually uses empty bottles of Lavie mineral water brand to contain sulfuric acid. And the shopkeeper mistakenly took the acid bottle to give to the girl.
The girl was immediately taken to a local hospital after drinking the acid. Due to her serious condition, she was then transferred to the National Children's Hospital for better treatment.
