According to the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee, the three companies including Sinohydro Corporation Limited Company, Ia Pet – Dak Doa Wind Power Company 2, and China-Vietnam Limited Company were fined for using foreign workers who do not have work permits.


The Ia Pet Dak Doa Wind Power Company 2 was fined VND105 million (USD4,560) for the illegal employment of foreign workers after competent authorities inspected the company on May 6 and found 19 Chinese workers who did not have legitimate work permits.

According to the provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs, there are 369 foreign laborers at wind power plants in the area 342 among them do not have work permits.
