Fuel prices have a small drop on June 20 after six price hikes while diesel and kerosene experienced price increases.

Fuel prices have increased six time from March 21, by nearly VND2,000 per litre. According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance, after June 4, Singapore’s A92 prices stood at USD56.47 per barrel, lower than the average USD58.11 per barrel in the previous 15 days. However the prices of kerosene and mazut increased by 1% to 3.4%.
The ministries had asked firms to use fuel stabilisation fund to maintain lower prices. The compensation rates for A92 and E5 are VND639 and VND672 per litre. The compensation rates for diesel, kerosene and mazut were reduced to VND595, VND764 and VND151 per litre.
After adjustments, A92 prices dropped by VND341 to VND16,168 (73 US cents) per litre. The price of E5 also dropped by VND336 to VND16,647 per litre.
Meanwhile a litre of diesel is now VND12,198 and VND10,667 for kerosene. The price of mazut also increased by VND350 to VND8,741 per litre.
