A Rafale B fighter jet
According to the Embassy of France in Hanoi, the squad includes three Rafale B fighter jets, one A400M troop transporter and a C135 refuelling tanker. About 100 personnel participated in the mission led by General Patrick Charaix. They will visit Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam and India.
This is the first time such French Air Force visit to Vietnam. 2018 marks the 45th anniversary of diplomatic ties and the five years of strategic partnership between France and Vietnam.
