Four universities set to open campuses in Bac Ninh

Four leading Hanoi universities have planned to build their new campuses in the northern province of Bac Ninh.

Hanoi University of Science and Technology has been offered 13 and 18-hectare sites in Tien Du District for its human resource training centre. The project is designed to train students in fields such as IT, digital transformation, and AI.

Hanoi Medical University’s planned campus is proposed for a 30-hectare site within the Bac Ninh Science and Technology Training and Application Zone in the expanded Lim Urban Area in Tien Du District.

The project will cost about VND 3.15 trillion (USD 121.5 million), including a training centre, a 1,000-bed teaching hospital, and advanced medical research institutes. It is expected to train 3,000 students.

Foreign Trade University plans to build a new campus on a 33-hectare site in Dong Nguyen Ward, Tu Son City. Groundbreaking is expected in early 2027, and the first phase is estimated to cost VND 1.15 trillion (USD 44.35 million).

Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment plans to develop a new campus in Dong Nguyen Ward, Tu Son City. The first phase will cost VND 670 billion (USD 25.8 million).

Bac Ninh authorities approved allocating VND 720 billion (USD 27.7 million) from the local budget to support the development of campuses for these four universities.
