Truong Ngoc Quy, chairman of Vinh Thuong Commune confirmed on December 1 that a local woman was electrocuted during the rain after her power outlet fell onto the ground. After being informed that the woman lost consciousness at her home, the authorities quickly sent employees to the site. However, their boat couldn't get close to her house. They had to wade through the water to her house but it was too late.

Tran Van Quoc from Van Phu Commune was swept away at 9 am on November 29 while going to the forest to find sugar palm fruits. Van Ninh District People's Committee said on December 1 that they were still unable to find him.

At 7.45 pm on November 30, the border guards in Khanh Hoa Province were notified that three members of a family had been swept away in the flood, including an 8-year-old child, an 11-year-old child and their father. It is reported that they fell into a stream near their house and swept away. The authorities sent 20 people to start the search and rescue mission. The bodies were found at 9 am on December 1.

Rains continue to be forecast to Khanh Hoa Province for December 1 with an estimated 100-150mm of rainfall. Nha Trang City, Dien Khanh and Khanh Vinh districts will have over 200mm of rainfall.

According to the National Centre for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting, rains and heavy rains will occur in central provinces from Quang Binh to Ninh Thuan and the Central Highlands. Some places with highest forecast rainfall are Tra My District in Quang Nam Province with 262mm of rainfall and M Drak in Dak Lak Province with 151mm of rainfall.

The cold spell in the northern region will lower the temperatures to 14-17 Celsius degrees in the delta and 14 to under 10 degrees in the mountainous areas. The average temperature in Hanoi is around 16-18 degrees.
