According to the Hanoi Metropolitan Railway Management Board, the train will be displayed from November at the S1 station on Road 32 before being put into operation next year.

Deputy head of the board, Nguyen Trung Hieu, earlier said that this was among 10 trains being produced in France for the project.

"The other trains in the fleet are being produced in France and are scheduled to arrive in Hanoi next year," he said. "Each train has four carriages with a capacity of 950 passengers. The train has a speed of 35km/h.”

As of early September, the whole route was 65 percent complete, including 80 percent of the elevated section, and 20 percent of the four-kilometre underground section.
