At around 8:30 this morning, a house on Nguyen Thuong Hien Street in District 3 suddenly caught fire. While waiting for firefighters, local people tried to put out the fire, but failed.
The fire quickly affected four neighbouring houses.
After that, more than 60 firefighters and equipment were sent to the site. One hour later, the fire was extinguished.
The houses were located in a narrow alley, so it was quite difficult for rescue forces to reach.
A 25-square-metre hour was totally destroyed, while the four others were seriously damaged.
The cause of the incident is still under investigation.
