The ceremony honoured local entrepreneurs whose excellent achievements in business have created jobs for people and contributed to the development of the country.

The 100 Thanh Giong Cup winners are given to entrepreneurs who have made their success over great difficulties thanks to their sharp determination to restructure their businesses in order to better protect the environment, solve the labour relations in enterprises and business administration.

Besides meeting such criteria relating to revenue, technology-renovating investment or effective policies for staff, winning entrepreneurs this year are required to be creative and dynamic in their business administration and active in protecting the environment.

The 100 outstanding Vietnamese entrepreneurs come from all over the country and work in various business fields including construction, clothing, tourism, aquaculture, and more.

According to the Chairman of VCCI, Vu Tien Loc, Vietnam now has some 500,000 enterprises, 1 million individual business entities and 133,000 collectives and farmhouses. They are contributing to 60% of the country’s GDP.
