During a pursuit with police in Nghe An Province, two tigers on the endangered species list were thrown from a truck and are now receiving treatment.

Tran Xuan Cuong, Deputy Director of Pu Mat National Park, has confirmed that the park has accepted the animals from Quynh Luu District for veterinary treatment. Although both tigers, one weighing 90kg and the other 70kg, suffered injuries, they have both been stabilised. Still, there are worries over their health.
The incident occurred on June 13, when patrolling officers noticed a suspicious vehicle without license plates speeding on National Highway 1A. After trying to pull the truck over, police were involved in a pursuit, as the drivers tried to escape.
The tiger was thrown out of truck on last Saturday
It is assumed that the drivers of the vehicle threw the tigers from the truck in order to obstruct the police. Once brought to the veterinary clinic, both were identified as belonging to endangered species.
