At the reception, Nhan expressed his pleasure at the good results of cooperation between the Vietnam Ministry of Information and Communications and the Cuban Ministry of Communications.
He said this manifests the time-honoured friendship and cooperative cooperation nurtured by the two countries’ people.

Besides traditional cooperation areas such as education and healthcare, the two countries have promoted cooperation in agriculture and information technology which are Vietnam’s strengths.
During the past two decades, Vietnam has modernised its IT sector which has affirmed its international position, Nhan said
IT is now applied nationwide in many fields, he said, adding that Vietnamese IT companies have developed rapidly and expanded their operations abroad, The military-run Viettel Telecommunication Group in a case in point.
For his part, Wilfredo Gonzalez Vidal spoke about important cooperation agreements signed with the Vietnam Ministry of Information and Communications during his visit.
He said his country has learned much from Vietnam’s IT development. The country’s IT Law is helpful to Cuba and its process of organizing and restructuring its IT system in the time to come.
