Dak Lak imposes sea ban ahead of Typhoon Kalmaegi

Dak Lak Province has banned all vessels from 12 coastal wards and communes from going out to sea from 6 am on November 5 as Typhoon Kalmaegi approaches.

Authorities in the 12 localities are required to notify fishermen of the ban and suspend offshore fishing. For vessels already at sea, crews must be warned, guided to safe shelters, and ensured that no one remains on board, at fish cages or in watch huts during the storm.

Agencies and coastal authorities were asked to monitor weather conditions closely and inform fishermen when it is safe to resume activities.
