On July 22, Bac Ninh Province Police said the provincial investigation agency had charged Pham Thi Huyen, 28, from Luong Tai Commune, and placed her under a travel ban from her place of residence on charges of infringing industrial property rights.
The police found that Huyen had regularly used Zalo, Facebook and TikTok to post and advertise metal jewellery products showing signs of counterfeiting trademarks protected in Vietnam.

On May 22, the authorities inspected a business premises at 54 Ly Thai To Street, Luong Tai Commune.
At the time of the inspection, authorities found Huyen directly displaying for sale 283 jewellery items, including necklaces, bracelets, rings and earrings. The products bore printed or engraved logos and names of several well-known brands, including Hermes, Cartier, Chanel, Van Cleef & Arpels and Bvlgari.
A valuation found the total value of the infringing goods was nearly VND 4 billion (USD 154,000).
Investigators are continuing to widen the case to deal with others involved in accordance with the law.
