A series of motorbikes suddenly crashed to the ground causing traffic congestion in Kim Lien Tunnel in Hanoi on March 1st.
At 7.30AM today, a motorbike driving inside the tunnel suddenly fell to the ground causing a domino effect.
After a while, dozens of motorbikes lied on the ground causing a severe traffic jam.
On the site for 30 minutes, DTiNews saw 3 cases. When the traffic was flowing vehicles moved very fast and suddenly fell off in the middle of the road for unknown reasons.
Despite the chaos, there were no serious injuries. The victims included women, men and young people. Some of them said motorbikes in front of them fell down forcing them to brake immediately. The road surface was slipper, causing the motorists to lose control and crash.
Some drivers panicked because they couldn’t understand the reason they fell down. “I think something's wrong here. I am always good at driving but suddenly when I reached half way through the tunnel I lost control and fell down,” said one victim.
The scene of the accidents was well lit and didn't seem to have any particular reason for the bikes to crash.
