Police in the central province of Ha Tinh have detained two Chinese men who fled from a Covid-19 quarantine site in the neighbouring province of Nghe An.

Police in the central province of Ha Tinh have detained two Chinese men who fled from a Covid-19 quarantine site in the neighbouring province of Nghe An.

On March 18, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Xuan Manh from Ha Tinh’s traffic police board, said that the two Chinese men, who fled from a Covid-19 quarantine area in Nghe An's Hung Nguyen District on March 17, are Zhu Bing Zhan, 26, and Huang Chao Xiang, 27.

Being informed of the case, the police set up checkpoints on National Highways 1A. At around 10 pm on the same day, the police stopped a car driven by Phan Thanh Trung, 36, from Tien Giang Province.

Checking the car, the police found the two Chinese people. The men were handed over to the police in Hung Nguyen District for the punishment.

Meanwhile, the police in HCM City’s Cu Chi District are searching for a Chinese man named Yang Gui Bin, 36, who ran away from a local quarantine facility. He has tested negative for Covid-19 twice.
