A man in the southern province of Binh Phuoc has just died after being attacked by a python kept at a friend's house.
A man in the southern province of Binh Phuoc has just died after being attacked by a python kept at a friend's house on January 1.
According to a report from local authorities, Dinh Thanh Phuong, 47, came to visit his friend Nguyen Minh Hai in Binh Long Town on the evening of January 1. Hai had offered to give him a python around 5 metres long and 25 kilos in weight that he had been raising in a cage for some time.
As Phuong approached the cage and crawled into it to take hold of the python, it suddenly attacked him, coiling itself around his neck.
Some friends grasped Phuong’s legs and tried to pull him out of the cage, but the python’s coils were very strong and the man died quickly.
Police are further investigating the case.
