The couple Tan Van Hai, 46, and Hoang Thi Nguyet, 32, from Vinh City’s Dong Vinh Ward have recently sent a letter to Dantri/DTiNews to seek help.
Their eldest daughter Ta Thi Bich Hang, 14, is blind in one eye despite undergoing two operations and faces going blind in her remaining eye. She has also been diagnosed with leukaemia recently. Every month, she is taken to a hospital in Hanoi for treatment.

Hai works for construction sites with a modest income. In his free time, he comes to fields to catch fish and crabs to earn some more money. Local authorities leased his family a plot of land to set up a temporary house.
Despite great efforts for Hang’s treatment, her condition has not yet improved.
Around 10 days ago, the couple’s two sons Ta Hoang Long, 10, and Ta Hoang Hieu, 5, were burnt as they played with medical alcohol that accidentally was set on fire.

Long is staying at Nghe An Maternity - Paediatric Hospital for treatment. The hospital also called on donors for assistance. While Hieu and Hang have returned home for self-treatment.
At this time, Hai has to stay at the hospital to take care of his son, adding more pressure to the family’s financial difficulties.
