Local residents saw the bomb while digging at a construction site in Lac Thanh Commune on Sunday afternoon.

Local authorities cordoned off the area following the discovery.
The 1.2-metre-long bomb has been relocated to await controlled detonation.
Previously on July 11, people in Ngoc Son Commune discovered a 225-kilo bomb while fishing on the Lam River.
The National Mine Action Programme have cleared bombs and mines in nearly 500,000 hectares during the 2010-2020 period.
Total cost for activities under the national programme reached over VND12 trillion (USD525.27 million) during the period, of which more than VND10 trillion came from the domestic budget and more than two trillion VND from foreign non-refundable sources.
