The task force consists of 97 officers, leaders, and commanders from specialised units of the Kien Giang Department of Police. It will use a hotline at 0918 655 355 to receive crime reports and whistleblower tips.
Senior Lieutenant Colonel Mai Phuong Nam, Head of the Economic, Corruption, Smuggling, and Environmental Crime Investigation Division of the provincial Department of Police, leads the team. Meanwhile, Senior Lieutenant Colonel Truong Sa My, Deputy Head of the Criminal Police Division, has been appointed as the standing deputy leader.

At the task force's inauguration, Colonel Nguyen Van Han, Director of the Kien Giang Police Department, urged police unit leaders and local authorities to vow to fight crime in the city.
Police unit leaders and local authorities must enforce strict discipline and take resolute action against any negligence or collusion that fosters crime and threatens public security in the locality.
