At around 3 pm, HCM City faced downpours with hailstones hitting areas in districts 1, 3, 4 and 7.

Hailstones measured 1-1.5 cm in diametre.
Widespread rain caused flooding on some local roads.
According to Le Dinh Quyet, head of the Forecasting Department at the Southern Region Meteorological Station, the city would have more rain with rainfall of 20-50 mm with strong winds.
Quyet added that HCM City witnessed 1-2 hailstorms every year.
