The Ministry of Transport said that ACV is still waiting for the Ministry of Defence to hand over 16 hectares of land for the project implementation.

The prime minister approved the VND11 trillion (USD478 million) funded by ACV in May last year.

The construction of Terminal 3, which is expected to operate for 50 years, and will be financed by ACV rather than with state capital. It will take 37 months to complete the project.

Terminal 3, which has a designed annual capacity of 20 million passengers, is aimed to ease overloading on Terminal 1.
