Vietnam Airlines to launch direct flights to Denmark

Vietnam Airlines has announced plans to operate its first direct route to Denmark, connecting Ho Chi Minh City with Copenhagen starting from December 15.

The national flag carrier revealed on June 16 that the new route will operate three times a week using Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft.

Flights from Ho Chi Minh City will depart on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, while return flights from the Danish capital will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Dang Anh Tuan, Deputy CEO of Vietnam Airlines, said the route marks the first direct air link between Vietnam and Denmark and the broader Nordic region.

The airline expects the new service to meet strong demand for travel, tourism, family visits and business exchanges, particularly from the more than 70,000 Vietnamese nationals currently residing in Northern Europe.

In 2025, Vietnam Airlines plans to launch and resume 15 international routes to key markets, including China, India, Italy,  Japan,  Russia, South Korea and the UAE.

The airline already operates direct flights within Europe to France, Germany, Russia, and the United Kingdom, It will also introduce a new route from Hanoi to Milan, Italy in early July.
